The subwoofer I choose...

Klipsch RW-12 Subwoofer
[RETAIL: $650]
Experienced audiophiles will tell you that the first part of your home theater setup you should upgrade is the center channel, where most of the sound in movies and TV comes from. To them I say: "I CAN'T HEAR YOU. MY 615-WATT SUBWOOFER IS RATTLING THE FILLINGS OUT OF MY TEETH." Overclocking your rig with a kick-ass sub may be crass, but it sure is a lot of fun. This speaker puts out a respectable rumble for the size (14.6 x 19 x 21 inches). It's easy to add to a surround sound receiver and it can be tuned to sound great with big or small supporting speakers. Pets and neighbors didn't seem to enjoy it as much as I did, but its light cherry finish and gold cone look amazing, and it rocks you to the beat of whatever you're watching. -- Robert Capps
